January Update 2017!

Hi Everyone, I will be trying my hardest this year to try & upload what my wonderful 30+ students & I have been up to each month, both in our personal goals & performances within the community. A New Year's Resolution for the year.

Whilst we have only just returned to lessons for the year, we have all hit the ground running with new students beginning, goals being set & competitions and performance beginning to be prepared for, I myself have been busy working with Brisbane Arts Theatre for the last three months on the children's show 'Snugglepot & Cuddlepie'.

Based on the Australian children's book of the same name, with the show written by children entertainer, Peter Coombs, tells the tale of two gumnut babies and their adventures in the search for seeing a human. Telling the story of the Australian bush & the saving of the environment, the show engages children in a wonderful world of kookaburras, possums and even Banksia Men! Directed by Natalie Murtagh, with the assistance of Music Director Connor Clarke, Assistant Music Director Rebekah barns (me), this has been a wonderful experience working with such professional children between the ages of eight to sixteen. Tickets are on sale currently, with the season finishing on the 25th March 2017. So get your tickets wonderful people.

Within the month of February we are still preparing, but we also welcome back the Thursday students who had an extra long break due to the Australia Day holiday. Lucky ducks. So excited to see what the month will bring.
